A total of four players scored well over $100,000 on Sunday and the big payday of the weekend went to Joao Paulo "Ponga80" Aquino who won the Sunday Million. Owen "ocrowe" Crowe took down the Sunday Warm-Up for a massive score. Michael "swisstard" Schurpf and Dean "dean23price" Price were the others who finished on top during online-poker's biggest day.

This past weekend's Sunday Million did see a bit of a drop in the numbers but despite that there were enough players to ensure that the top 3 would go home with six-figure payouts. When it was down to three handed, Trung "dynastyzz" Tran had moved all-in with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and looked good to double up dominating Joao Paulo "Ponga80" Aquino's {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. While the flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} was harmless enough, but a brutal {8-Spades} on the turn gave Aquino the lead and a nothing river {10-Hearts} meant that Aquino would do heads-up battle with "kmichael14."

For a while initially it seemed that a deal would go down between the two however Aquino turned it down before the numbers were presented intent on wanting to play and win the heads-up. And a good decision it was as Aquino managed to decisively take control on his way to victory. The final hand saw a bunch of raises before the flop which eventually led to "kmichael14" being all-in with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}. His tournament life was at risk against Aquino's {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. A Jack on the flop put Aquino ahead of his opponent and with the eventual board {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} providing no further assistance to "kmichael14", victory and a sweet payday of $198,490.50 went to Aquino.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up ($500K Guaranteed)

Buy-inEntrantsPrize Pool
$200+$153,241$648,200

There was little doubt about who the biggest name at the Sunday Warm-up final table was. Owen "ocrowe" Crowe. started second in chips and comfortably made it to heads-up with a significant chip lead. His opponent, "assalbi," however not in the mood to roll over. Crowe came close to ending the tournament when his {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} went up against "assalbi's" {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The poker Gods seemed to take a shine to "assalbi" making him a straight on a board of {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. This hand allowed "assalbi" to survive and become the chipleader.

Crowe however gamely held on and eventually his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} bested his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} as the board ran out {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Shortly thereafter he finished things of for a $101,768.21 payday.
