Sridhar is the Headhunter champion!

[user204797] • Level 19: 5,000-10,000, 500 ante

Sridhar overcame 42 players and emerges as the winner of the Headhunter event at the India Poker Championship!

The three handed battle was a pretty long affair and when Kunal Shewaramani was eliminated in 3rd place, we expected headsup battle to go for a while considering both Sridhar and Abhishek Rathod were fairly even stacked.

After almost an hour of headsup it all came down to this hand where Sridhar with {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} moved all in and was called by Rathod who had {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. {3-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts} on the flop giving Sridhar, who already ahead preflop, a flush draw. And while he missed the turn {K-Clubs}, the river {K-Hearts} completed the flush draw giving him the win and title of Headhunter!

Congratulations to all the winners and from all of us here at PokerNews India, it's goodbye till next time.

Down to three-way action

[user204797] • Level 16: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

Well after some frantic scrambling we've finally managed to get our gear upto speed and in 8 levels that have passed the original field of 42 has now been trimmed down just three.

6 places will be paid at this event and in 6th place was Junaid Bilal followed by Jasven Saigal in 5th. Saigal's had quite a good run here on Sunday night making two final table including the Main Event.

Rajesh was eliminated in 4th place which leaves Kunal Sherwaramani, Sridhar Kumar and Abhishek Rathod to battle each other for the title of Headhunter.

Two for two

[user204797] • Level 6: 150-300, 25 ante

In preflop action, Danish Shaikh moved his small stack of about 1000 chips all-in and that was followed by an all-in from Shravan Chhabria and a flatcall from Rajesh Sharma. Shaikh and Chhabria were not too happy with that and were hoping for a favourable flop.

Sharma {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Shaikh {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Chhabria {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}

{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-} did not improve things for either of the all-in players and with that they will make their final exit from this Headhunter tournament.
