Vikram Roy plays his last hand

[user204797] • Level 8: 800-1,600, 0 ante

From the button, Rahul Bhatia limps in completing the blinds as does Ashok Chatterjee in the small blind and checked by Vikram Roy in the big blind.

The flop {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} is checked by the blinds and Bhatia bets out 10000. Chatterjee folds and Roy with about 40000 moves all-in. Bhatia calls.

Roy {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} v. {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

So that initial limp proving costly for Roy as his stronger preflop hand is struggling against Bhatia's flopped two pair. That betters to a fullhouse when {10-Hearts} comes up on 4th street. The river {5-Spades} bricks out and that'll do it for Vikram Roy who fails to survive and move to the final day of play tomorrow.

In another hand shortly thereafter Ashraf Ali is eliminated, Rahul Bhatia once again being the executioner. There was already a huge pot in play at the flop {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. On the turn {2-Spades}, Ali bets 16000 with another 13000 behind. Bhatia puts enough chips into the middle to put Ali all-in. He makes the call to put his tournament life at risk.Bhatia turns over {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for bottom pair. Ali mucks his hand on the river {K-Spades} and heads on out of this tournament.

Gaurav Chiripal heads for the exit

[user204797] • Level 7: 600-1,200, 0 ante

5 limpers into the pot to see a flop {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Gaurav Chiripal in early position bets 6000 into the pot. Rahul Bhatia thinks about it for a while before calling. The turn is {Q-Spades} and another bullet fired by Chiripal for 11000. Bhatia again takes his time and then announces all-in.

With just about 13000 behind him, Chiripal is committed to making the call and sees Bhatia flip over {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. A disappointed Chiripal is unable to make his draw on the river {2-Hearts} and mucks his hand getting off the table in the process. He will exit this Main Event's Day 1b in 7th place.

Flopped nut flush for Chatterjee

[user204797] • Level 6: 500-1,000, 0 ante

From UTG, Ashok Chatterjee opens the pot with a bet of 5000 which is called by Iqbal A Gahffar. Rahul Bhatia in the small blind decides to exert some pressure with a reraise to 10000 but the other two call and come along for the ride.
On the flop {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}, Bhatia puts in a third of the pot with a bet of 20000. Chatterjee tankcalls and Gahffar too goes into the tank for while before the clock is called on him. He decides to muck his hand just before the clock runs out. The turn {2-Hearts} is checked by both and the river is another deuce {2-Clubs}.

Bhatia fires out 30000 and another tank by Chatterjee before he shoves all-in. Insta-call by Bhatia who turns over {A-Spades}{J-Spades} for the flopped flush whereas Chatterjee's {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} leads to only a busted straight draw.

Arpit Agarwal knocked out

[user204797] • Level 6: 500-1,000, 0 ante

Ashok Chatterjee makes it 3000 before the flop and gets called by Vikram Roy, Iqbal A Gahffar, Arpit Agarwal and Ankit Anand.

On the river {J-Clubs} a check from Chatterjee has Agarwal moving all-in with his stack of 35000. Anand gets out of the way and Chatterjee commits the remaining chips required.

Chatterjee {A-Spades}{J-Spades} v. Agarwal {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

So Chatterjee making two pair on the river which means one more elimination in the form of Arpit Agarwal from the $1100 Main Event here at the WPPT Dollar Poker Festival.
