Stud Eight or Better

Eddie Blumenthal completed with {a-Spades}, and three players came along. Blumenthal bet fourth street, and everyone called once again. He then bet fifth street with the following boards out:

Blumenthal: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Mark Klecan: {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Jeff Tims: {4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Darin Thomas: {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}
George Rechnitzer: {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Klecan and Tims called, then Thomas raised. Rechnizter cold-called. Blumenthal folded, Klecan called and Tims called. The dealer sent out sixth street.

Klecan: {10-Spades}
Tims: {9-Spades}
Thomas: {q-Hearts}
Rechnitzer: {j-Clubs}

Thomas once again took the betting lead, and everyone else called him. On seventh, everyone checked to Klecan, who bet. Tims and Thomas called, and Rechnizter folded.

"Trips," Klecan announced, revealing {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} as his down cards. Tims and Thomas slowly slid their cards to the dealer, and Klecan scooped the biggest pot of the tournament by far.

Bohlman Takes One From Heimiller

• Level 20

Stud Eight or Better

On the river of the last hand of the night at this table, Dan Heimiller checked his board of {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, and Scott Bohlman bet showing {5-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Heimiller called, and Bohlman turned over {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} for queens up. Heimiller folded, and Bohlman got a small boost to his stack as play for the night comes to a close.

Schneider Cripples Mackey

• Level 20

James Mackey is down to just a 3.5 big bets after a recent stud hand against Tom Schneider. After fifth street here's how their boards looked:

Mackey: {8-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Schneider: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}

They put in two bets on fifth, though we didn't catch who did the raising. Schneider checked sixth despite catching the {8-Diamonds} to pair his board. Mackey checked behind with {j-Spades}. Schneider then bet seventh and Mackey, looking reluctant, called.

Schneider showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} in the hole for aces up, and Mackey mucked his hand.

Bach Forces Fold

• Level 20

Eddie Blumenthal completed on third street with a {4-Clubs} showing, and David Bach raised with the {q-Diamonds}. Blumenthal called, and received the {7-Spades} on fourth street. Bach was dealt the {j-Spades} and bet out. Blumenthal called, and Bach bet out again after being dealt the {a-Clubs} on fifth street. Blumenthal, who had received the {3-Clubs}, thought for a minute before folding.

Schneider Drags Three-Way Razz Pot

• Level 20

Tom Schneider completed from first position with {3-Diamonds}. Dan Kelly called with an {a-Spades}, and James Mackey did likewise with {2-Clubs}. Kelly led fourth when he caught good with a {6-Clubs}, while Schneider and Mackey caught {9-Spades} and {k-Hearts}. Both players called. They also called fifth, which Kelly fired at again despite a {k-Clubs}. Another king slowed him down on sixth, and this time Schneider did the betting.

Schneider: {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Mackey: {2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Kelly: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Kelly tanked for about a minute before folding, and Mackey folded as well.

Fast Doubles, Still Short

• Level 20

Ron Fast was all in on third street showing the {8-Spades}. Scott Bohlman and Owais Ahmed also stuck around to see fourth street, though Bohlman folded to Ahmed's fourth-street bet.

When all the cards were out, Ahmed held a ten-high, and Fast showed an 8-7. And Fast more than doubled up.
