Why Aren't We Stopping?

• Level 8: 500-1,000, 100 ante

A few players were heard asking the tournament director why the clock wasn't stopping with 10-minutes to go, with a set amount of hands designated to finish off the day! It was explained that, that only happens in events that involve a button and blinds. So, this tournament will officially end in five minutes.

Huge Pot Gets Divided Up

YorkshirePud • Level 8: 500-1,000, 100 ante

There was a large pot over at the far end of the room that involved Allen Kessler. Here's how the cards stacked up by the time all seven streets had been dealt.

Seat 2: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} / {2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {X-}
Allen Kessler: {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} / {2-Diamonds}
Seat 6: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} / {Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} / {10-Hearts}
Seat 8: {9-Spades}{7-Spades} / {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {Q-Spades}

Seat 2 won the high part of the side pot with his set of fives, while Kessler claimed the low with his 6-5-4-2-A. Seat 8 won some of the Main Pot with his flush and Kessler claimed part of it too with his low.

"Damn! I still only end up with 1,200 chips," said the disappointed gentlemen in Seat 8.

Savage Takes One Down on Fourth Street

YorkshirePud • Level 8: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Daniel Negreanu brought it in with the {2-Diamonds} on show, only to see tournament director extraordinaire, Matt Savage raise with the {5-Diamonds} on display. The lady in Seat 4 called ({7-Diamonds}) and Negreanu folded.

Savage received an {A-Spades} and led out, knocking one of his stacks of chips over as he did so. His opponent folded and Save showed {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} in the hole.

Ashby Lets it Go

• Level 7: 400-800, 100 ante

We caught the action on fourth street, with Richard Ashby betting as he was check called by his opponent. The turn saw his opponent check, and then call another bet. Sixth would follow suit, before momentum changed on seventh, when his opponent finally led out first. Ashby didn’t waste too much time, mucking his hand shortly after.

Ashby: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} / {x}
